Telehandlers

At Above All Equipment Sales, we get this question a lot and see this question asked many times on Google. The question is: how much is a telehandler worth?

The Answer

In short – the telehandler could be worth anywhere between a little to a lot of money. Used telehandlers are like old cars that have gathered rust and do not function like they used to. But any telehandler that runs is an excellent piece of machinery. Whether you have a telehandler stocked away on the farm or if you inherited one from a passing family member or friend, it’s worth investing time and money into the machine.

At Above All Equipment Sales, we can assist you with selling or inquiring more about your recently obtained telehandler. We can help you determine whether the machine is worth your time or money or if it is worth selling and gaining a profit.

Aerial Lift Prices and Availability

As with most things these days, the availability and prices of aerial lifts have changed. Just like car dealerships, we are having a difficult time keeping many machines in stock, and the prices increase as a result—classic supply and demand.

So, it’s hard to keep new telehandlers, scissor lifts, and boom lifts in stock, and it’s even harder to find many used ones because those are selling so fast too.

However, it’s not going to be a long-term thing – it should free up in the next year, and prices hopefully will stabilize.

In the meantime, if you are looking to get your hands on an aerial lift like a telehandler, boom lift, or scissor lift, you know who to call!

Learn More About Above All

At Above All Equipment Sales, we specialize in reconditioning used aerial lifts such as boom lifts, telehandlers, and scissor lifts from all of the biggest brands. Right now, we have a very unique boom lift in our inventory that is a great deal for anyone looking to invest in a new machine.

Our Unique Genie Z30/20N Boom Lift

We have multiple of these guys in stock, but there is one, in particular, that is a great find. This machine is a reconditioned 2001 Genie with a 30-foot reach, 36 working height. The reason why this guy is so unique is because it was previously owned by a school that took really good care of it. It was stored inside its whole life, so there is not outside wear on it.

These boom lifts are electronic, so they take batteries similar to a scissor lift, but they take eight batteries instead of four. When we bought this lift, we reconditioned it, so it has all new batteries, a new charger, new tires, the whole nine yards.

This Genie Z30/20N is only $14,900 and can ship anywhere, a hard to find deal!

At Above All Equipment Sales, we buy and sell many different kinds of aerial lifts such as new and reconditioned scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers. Each of the machines we sell comes with manuals that are full of valuable information about the machine.

Read Your Manuals!

It is important to read the manuals that come with your machine so that you and those around you are safe! In addition, reading your manuals can help you increase the longevity of your equipment.

We encourage EVERYBODY that uses the machine to read them both cover to cover when you first get it and then skim through to refresh every so often.

Two Manuals

All of the equipment we sell at Above All Equipment Sales comes with both ANSI and operator manuals. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) manual is a safety manual. The operator manual is similar to a car owner’s manual, which has information about maintenance.

What If I Lose My Manual?

If you lost a manual or didn’t buy from Above All Equipment Sales, don’t fret, you can download the manuals from the manufacturer websites, get a binder, and your good to go!

Affordable Lifts

Our specialties include selling reconditioned machines like reconditioned scissor lifts or reconditioned telehandlers. A reconditioned machine is a great option because it is essential for a new machine at a fraction of the cost.

Hard to Find Machines

Another reason to choose us is that we have many of the hard to find machines such as the Gradall D Series, which are no longer being produced but still a fan favorite with a huge following.

All Machines Pass an Inspection

We have every single machine inspected so that we can ensure the integrity of all the equipment we buy and sell.

The JLG G-518 Telehandler

The JLG G-518 is another smaller, more compact telehandler that is great for maneuvering tighter spaces. These types of telehandlers are commonly referred to as “yard dogs.”

Compared to the Genie 5519, the JLG G-518 is a little bit heavier, weighing in at about 11,000 pounds. However, the footprint, size, and length, and height capacity are very similar.

The JLG Brand

All of the machines that JLG manufactures are extremely reliable, which is one reason that they are so popular. They partner with Caterpillar, so their engines have dual engineering for a more reliable and long-lasting machine.

The JCB 520 Telehandler

The JCB 520 is a very popular telehandler because of its size. It is a compact telehandler typically referred to as a yard dog. Smaller telehandlers are great because they can be used indoors and outdoors with our having any troubles navigating tight spaces.

Smaller telehandlers are also great for easy transportation. You can even use a pickup truck to mover the JCB 520.

JCB 520 Specs.

  • The JCB 520 weighs close to 11,000 pounds.
  • Its reach is almost 17 feet.
  • The capacity is 4,600 pounds, which is a little less than other telehandlers of its size.

JCB vs. Genie Telehandlers

The JCB 520 is very comparable to the Genie 5519 telehandler in regards to size and specs. However, the Genie has a little bit more reach and capacity. Though they are similar, they both do a great job in most situations.

Which one is better for you? That just depends on what you and your crew are used to using and if you need that little extra reach or not.

If you have any questions about the JCB 520, the Genie 5519, or any of our machines, please contact us today! We can help you find the equipment you need to get the job done every time, for the right price.

The Gradall D Series Telehandler

One telehandler that we are always looking to buy is the Gradall D Series. This telehandler is a super popular brand with a very loyal following. Unfortunately, this telehandler was discontinued in 2007.

However, since they were so common, there are still many of them out there, and after we recondition them, they are as good as new.

The reason that this telehandler is so popular is because it is old school, easy to use, very reliable, and robust.

What is Similar to the Gradall D Series?

The JLG G Series is the replacement of the Gradall D Series. This new JLG telehandler is very similar to the D Series, but there are some differences. It is more updated with the controls so many people that are set in the ways of the old school D Series aren’t happy about the change.

That is why we are always hunting for secondhand Gradalls so we can refurbish them and sell them to those loyal followers.

If you are in the market for a telehandler, boom lift, or scissor lift, whether new, reconditioned, or even discontinued in the Gradall D Series case, then you should browse our inventory online and contact us today! We can help you find the right equipment for the job you need to get done!
